David Marquis returns to Council as the Ward IV Councillor and chairs the Fire & Emergency Services Committee; previously he served 12 years on Township and Regional Council (1982 – 1994). He is a retired dairy and beef farmer who is now a co-owner of Advantage Specialties, a company specializing in environmentally friendly chemical solutions to business and industry. He is President of the
Sunderland Cemetery and past President of the Sunderland Co-op. Previously,
he was elected Chair of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.
