Situated on the shore of Lake Simcoe, the north side of the harbour offers a small picnic area, washrooms, and parking space along the water. The north side is also home to the independently owned and operated Beaverton Marina.

The south side of the harbour has a modern playground area, beaches, public washrooms and a large picnic area. A boat launch and docking slips are also available for public use (please refer to the applicable fee structure). The harbour has ample parking, a walk-out pier and family style restaurant. The business section of Beaverton is a short walk away and offers a LCBO, grocery and convenience stores, laundry facilities and fast food or restaurant dining.

In the winter season the harbour is a popular spot for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Local ice hut operations are located at the harbour to take groups out to experience ice fishing on Lake Simcoe.
