Adopt-A-Road Program

by Site Admin last modified 2006-04-15 16:30

Groups or individuals may agree to adopt a section of Township road and perform twice/yearly litter and debris cleanups.

The Township of Brock has established an Adopt-A-Road Program, whereby volunteer groups contract with the municipality to clean up certain Township rights-of-way. Under this program, groups or individuals commit to adopt a section of Township road and perform twice/yearly litter and debris cleanups. In return, the municipality will provide safety training (video), safety vests and garbage bags. Upon the successful second cleanup in the first year of adoption, the Township erects a sign on the adopted roadway to acknowledge their efforts.

For further information or to inquire about participation in the Adopt-A-Road Program, please contact the Works Department at 432-2355.
