What is Road Watch?

Road Watch is a community based program that works to improve road safety by allowing residents to participate in identifying and reporting dangerous and aggressive driving in their community.

Who is involved?

The Brock Road Watch Committee includes volunteer residents of Brock in partnership with the Township of Brock, the Region of Durham, the Durham Regional Police Services, the Ontario Provincial Police, the Ministry of Transportation and local businesses and community groups.

How to report a dangerous or aggressive driver?

To report a dangerous and/or aggressive driver, residents may use a Citizen Report Form, available at any of the drop box sites. On each form record as much information as possible. Although your name is not disclosed, it is necessary to include on the report to safeguard the system from abuse. Once your form is complete, you may place it in one of the following drop boxes:

Beaverton:

  • Steve's Valumart
  • C.I.B.C.

  • Cannington Foodland
  • Ben's Pharmacy
  • Three Bridges CafĂ© & UPI Station
    (@Hwy. 12 & Regional Road 12)

Port Bolster:

  • Port Bolster Variety Store

Sunderland:

  • Sunderland Pharmacy
  • Pindar's Sunoco

Wilfrid:

What happens to a driver once he/she is reported?

Once a driver is reported they will receive a letter from the Police describing the unsafe driving action that was witnessed. If a driver is reported more than once, the Police will make personal contact with that individual, either by telephone or in person.
