NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING PROPOSED REPEAL OF ATV BY-LAW No. 1954-2005-PP

TAKE NOTICE that, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Brock intends to repeal ATV By-law No. 1954-2005-PP being a by-law for permitting and regulating the operation of off-road vehicles (ORV) upon highways under the jurisdiction of the Township of Brock.
By repealing the by-law, the operation of off-road vehicles (ATV’s) will be regulated under the Highway Traffic Act Ontario Regulation 316/03 and subject to enforcement by local police.

Brock Township had a significant weather event just before Christmas, and I would like to acknowledge our staff for their tremendous efforts in keeping our roads clear and safe for travel during that difficult time. I would also like to thank the farming community and anyone else who provided support or help during those days. Waterfront Area and Open Space Plan for the Beaverton waterfront

In 2023, the Township will be working to establish a Waterfront Area and Open Space Plan for the Beaverton waterfront. The Township is looking to create a plan that will make recommendations for short, medium and long-term actions for the waterfront’s recreation, natural and cultural heritage features, as well as economic development and tourism.

Notice of a Public Meeting for a Regional Official Plan Amendment on January 10 at 9:30 am

The Region of Durham has received a Regional Official Plan Amendment application to facilitate the development of a resort at 23801 Thorah Park Blvd. The proposal includes a 3-storey building with 42 suites and 4 villas for a total of 46 suites. Township staff are reviewing the application and will provide comments to the Region, who are the approval authority for this application.
