The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and businesses in Sunderland of
upcoming construction of a new drilled well to replace the existing Municipal Well 3.
When: Thursday, September 19 until Friday, November 1.
Where: 32 Jane Street, Sunderland in the Township of Brock

Beaver River Bridge Replacement update September 12, 2024

The Region of Durham is currently designing temporary and permanent replacements of the Beaver River Bridge, located on Regional Road 15 west of Highway 12, in the Township of Brock. The old bridge will be replaced with a new structure and is scheduled to commence construction in 2026 and be completed in 2027. In the interim, a temporary bridge is scheduled to be opened to traffic in the late Fall of 2024.

The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents to place their used household batteries out for recycling on their Green Bin collection days, during the week of October 7.
When: Fall battery collection occurs from October 7 to 11 on Green Bin collection days.

Area wide speed limit reduction in Cannington

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero, The Regional Municipality of Durham and the Township of Brock will be installing an area wide 40 kilometre per hour (km/h) posted speed limit in Cannington.
Where: Cameron Street (Regional Road 12) from 260 metres west of Albert Street to 300 metres east of McRae Street in Cannington. The Township of Brock local roads within the community will also be changed to 40 km/h.
