Opening date announced for Good Doctors telemedicine clinic in Beaverton
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in partnership with the Township of Brock, is excited to announce that the Good Doctors telemedicine clinic in Beaverton, Ontario, has an opening date!
When: The Good Doctors telemedicine clinic will open December 2 and is available by appointment to residents. The clinic will operate Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To book an appointment at Good Doctors telemedicine, please visit GoodDoctors.as.me/Beaverton or call 705-798-3439. Please bring your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card to the appointment; there is a $70 fee if you do not bring your OHIP card or bring an expired OHIP card.
Where: 133 Main Street, Beaverton. The clinic is in an office space that has a separate entrance on the main floor at Lakeview Manor long-term care home, at the back of the building in the main courtyard.
Why: The Region of Durham and Township of Brock partnered to bring Good Doctors telemedicine to north Durham. This will help ensure that north Durham residents can access high-quality medical services close to home.
Note: The clinic offers non-urgent, medical services that are covered by OHIP. It is staffed with a registered practical nurse or registered nurse who meets with patients; documents their medical concerns and history; and connects them with a licensed Ontario physician via a video telemedicine platform. The nurse remains with the patient during the video consultation and assists the doctor with any necessary physical assessments.
