Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) Rehabilitation in the Township Brock

What’s happening?

• The Regional Municipality of Durham has hired GIP Inc., to repave Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23). This work will happen from 55 metres north of Highway 48 to 200 metres north of Thorah Park Boulevard in the Township of Brock.

What work is being done?

• Pulverizing the existing asphalt road.
• Placement of new granular material and new asphalt over the pulverized road.
• Placement of new asphalt paved shoulders.
• Ditching and culvert replacements to improve roadside drainage.

When will this happen?

• GIP Inc. will be on site the week of April 27, to start preparing for the work. The construction is expected to finish by June 30, 2026, depending on weather conditions

How will traffic be affected?

• Daily lane restrictions will be required for the duration of the project to complete the work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Drivers should expect delays and plan for extra time when using Lake Ridge Road.

Other important information

• The equipment used for construction might make noise and cause ground vibrations. Anyone living or working nearby may notice this.
