National Nonprofit Day 2025

On behalf of the Non-Profit Sector Advisory Committee and the Township of Brock, I want to thank everyone for coming out to celebrate National Nonprofit Day which is held annually on August 17.

Non-profit organizations are the heartbeat of small communities like ours.  They offer programs and services that might not exist otherwise – supporting food security, providing community services and events, fostering sports and recreation, celebrating arts and culture, and creating opportunities for youth and seniors alike.

But they are more than service providers; they are hubs of connection.  Non-profits give people reasons to gather, volunteer, engage, and take pride in the place they call home.

And when challenges arise, they are often the first to respond – rallying neighbours, coordinating help, and offering hope. They don’t just serve a community; they strengthen it, showing us what can be achieved when purpose outweighs profit.

To the organizations that serve our community – thank you.  Your work matters. Your impact is felt. And your dedication never goes unnoticed.
