Township of Brock Announces Appointment of Acting Chief Administrative Officer

Cannington ON - "On behalf of Council, I am pleased to announce that Mr. Fernando Lamanna will be appointed as Acting CAO and Clerk commencing April 11, 2026. Mr. Lamanna has served with the municipality for over 5 years and has proven himself as a competent leader with well over two decades of municipal service and currently fills the Deputy CAO/Clerk role in Brock. Fernando is a valuable member of "Team Brock" and Council is extremely confident with this decision. Moving forward, the first order of business for the new term of Council, beginning this fall, will be to decide on filling the permanent CAO role. I wish Fernando all the best in this new position and we look forward to working with him in this new capacity."

Mr. Lamanna brings extensive experience in municipal government. His strong technical background, proven leadership, and deep understanding of municipal operations position him well for the Acting CAO and Clerk role. He will serve as Acting CAO for the remainder of 2026. Following the municipal election, the new term of Council will begin the recruitment and hiring process for a permanent CAO.

Outgoing CAO Michelle Willson will conclude her role on April 10, 2026. A transition plan will be developed collaboratively with Council to ensure continuity of operations.
