Ward 4 Councillor Vacancy

On Monday October 14, 2025, Council declared the office of Ward 4 Councillor vacant following Cria Pettingill’s appointment to the Regional Councillor seat. Council chose to conduct an appointment for Ward 4 Councillor by an open call for nominees.

A Special Council meeting for the Council Vacancy Appointment was held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Seven individuals put their names forward for Council’s consideration. Each Candidate had 5 minutes to speak to Council and answer questions about their intentions for the Ward 4 Councillor seat. Following the candidates’ presentations, Council chose to appoint Ron Hodgson as Ward 4 Councillor.
