Beaver River Bridge update on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation

In November 2023, due to concerns with the condition of the bridge, ministry engineers recommended the bridge be closed to traffic while a thorough structural assessment was carried out.
The structural assessment and Bridge Load Testing have now been completed and unfortunately, the results do not support a full reopening of the bridge. Township of Brock introduces hybrid Council meeting format

The Township of Brock Council is welcoming residents to attend Council and Committee of the Whole meetings in person with the launch of a hybrid meeting model which commences January 15, 2023 . This will enable the public to participate both in person in Council Chambers or virtually from a remote location online by video or by phone.
To make the hybrid format possible, the municipality has enhanced both audio and visual equipment to create a quality experience for participants.

Cannington and Sunderland public access water has been shut off for the 2024 winter months. Public access in Beaverton will remain in service.

Naming the Marydel Park Block

The Township of Brock has received an application from the Beaverton Lions Club to name the future park in the Marydel subdivision.
Park Location: In the Marydel subdivision between McCaskell Street and Foster Hewitt Street. Additional parkland may also be added to this block through a future subdivision, however, no decision have been made on the subdivision application yet.

Brock Fire Department partners with the Marc Group again for 2024

The Brock Township Fire Department has partnered with The Marc Group again for 2024.
The Marc Group works in partnership with local fire departments annually by providing 2500 reusable tote bags for distribution. Local businesses have the opportunity to participate in the program by advertising on the side of the bag. The other side is covered with a fire safety message from the fire department.
