Fitness Classes
The Township of Brock offers many fitness classes for you to enjoy! From yoga classes to Zumba, we have classes for every fitness level. All classes require pre-registration as limited spaces are available. Walk-ins will not be accepted, and individuals will be turned away. Registration must be completed online before the first class of each program.
Schedule & Program Descriptions
The Spring Fitness Schedule will begin April 17, 2023, with some programs having delayed start dates. Fitness classes are for participants aged 12+ unless otherwise stated.
The Township of Brock is trying a new format for the Spring classes and participants will be required to register for the full session of classes, meaning drop ins will not be permitted.
Registration must be completed online prior to the first class of the session. Classes with insufficient registrations may be at the risk of being cancelled.
Mondays:
Cardio Dance Fitness6:00-7:00 p.m. at Sunderland Memorial Arena

Are you ready to move? Cardio Dance Fitness is for anyone who wants to dance and work up a sweat to great music and easy to follow choreography for an energizing cardio workout with a sprinkle of bodyweight resistance training to give you a full-body buzz. Cardio Dance combines mood enhancing superpowers like physical movement, music, and community. It’s a great way to have fun with friendly faces through fitness. Your body and your mind will thank you!

HIIT Squad7:15-8:15 p.m. at Sunderland Memorial Arena

HIIT Squad will get your heart pumping as you build strength, endurance, and agility. Starting off with a group warm-up using simple movements set to popular music, we alternate cardio-based exercises with resistance training stations in a circuit, followed by a tribal core-on-the-floor routine using drumsticks that you hit together and on the floor to the beat. We round out the class with a deep stretch and some well-deserved relaxation. Best of all, it’s challenging and FUN!

Sunderland Yoga6:00-7:00 p.m. at Sunderland Town Hall

Yoga classes help you find connection between your breath, mind and body as you flow through a series of yoga postures. You will leave feeling calm, focused and energized.

Wednesdays:
Beaverton Yoga6:00-7:00 p.m. at Beaverton Town Hall

Yoga classes help you find connection between your breath, mind and body as you flow through a series of yoga postures. You will leave feeling calm, focused and energized. Classes are for all levels – no yoga experience necessary. Please bring a yoga mat and water to each class.

Restorative Yoga7:15-8:15 p.m. at Beaverton Town Hall

Restorative yoga typically involves three to four poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. You will hold each pose for up to 15 minutes including light twists, forward holds and gentle backbends. This is slightly different from traditional yoga, but you will still leave feeling relaxed.

Adult Volleyball8:00 - 8:50 p.m. & 9:00 - 9:50 p.m. at Brock High School

Come out and play some fun recreational volleyball. Teams will be made as people arrive for scrimmages. No referees, just honest players. One court will be designated for a more advanced and competitive game, and one court will be designated for recreational game.

Saturdays:
Gentle Fit8:00-9:00 a.m. at Rick MacLeish Memorial Community Centre

Gentle Fit is designed to provide an effective workout to improve overall wellness and everyday function and includes:
- Cardio conditioning
- Strength training - Balance - Flexibility - Stretching This fitness class is for everyone, but is ideal for older adults and those who are starting an exercise program. Instructor: Jennifer Lamantia

Refunds
Refunds will only be provided in the situation where the Township has cancelled a class. If you register for a program, and do not attend, you will not be eligible for a refund.
