Roadway Entrance Permits and Consents
A roadway entrance is any new driveway or roadway that intersects a municipal road. In the Township of Brock roadway entrance permits/consents are required for:
- New residential and commercial properties
- Changing an existing entrance (widening)
- Adding a second entrance
Application
Complete the Application for a Roadway Entrance Permit and submit it along with the appropriate fee to the Municipal Office:

Fees
Once you submit your application for a roadway entrance permit, one of the inspection fees listed below will also need to be paid.
- $229.39 for an entrance inspection (existing entrance)
- $428.27 for an entrance inspection (new entrance)
Based on the results of the inspection, you may need to pay:
- $2,243.05 for an entrance installation of a 16” x 26' culvert (price may vary depending on diameter and length of the culvert)
- $1,042.99 for an entrance installation (time and materials only)
Entrance Permit Guidelines
Please review the following guidelines prior to applying for an entrance permit:
- The Township of Brock will install roadway entrances
- We supply the materials, labour and equipment for the installation of the entrance to the property line
- We don't supply topsoil, sod or seed (responsibility of the property owner)
- The minimum entrance length is 26 feet
- We provide all future maintenance of the entrance
- Costs must be prepaid
