Council Highlights - March 10, 2025

Council Highlights offer a summary of crucial decisions or agenda items discussed in Council meetings, aiming to give residents a snapshot of the meeting proceedings.

• Congratulations were offered to Brock residents who have been award the King Charles III Coronation Medals for their dedicated and significant contributions to the community :

• A presentation on the Growing North Durham Plan was received which included updates on actions to date and future initiatives to support economic growth across North Durham to 2027.
• Direction was given to staff to further investigate all associated costs including engineered drawings, and construction, as well as opportunities for cost sharing for a sidewalk to be installed on Regional Road 12 from downtown Cannington to Brock High School.
• Council approved a staff report which outlined steps to be taken in the creation of a new Visitor Growth Plan, in partnership with Central Counties Tourism and the Region of Durham.
