Council Highlights March 23, 2026

Council Highlights offer a summary of crucial decisions or agenda items discussed in Council meetings, aiming to give residents a snapshot of the meeting proceedings. The following are highlights from the last Council Meeting.

Council was presented with information on the Ontario Get SET Program from the Learning Network of Durham Region. This program helps adults in Ontario learn and develop skills that will lead to employment, post secondary education, and apprenticeships.

Council was presented with an annual update from the North Durham Social Development Council (NDSDC)  The NDSDC is a volunteer group responsible for the identification of critical social issues and gaps in programing, promoting positive social changes and improving communications between agencies in South and North Durham.

Fernando Lamanna has been appointed Acting CAO and Clerk for the Township of Brock effective April 11, 2026.Bringing over two decades of municipal experience to the role, Mr. Lamanna will serve as Acting CAO through 2026 as Council prepares to recruit a permanent CAO following the fall municipal election.
