February 23, 2026 Council Highlights

Council Highlights offer a summary of crucial decisions or agenda items discussed in Council meetings, aiming to give residents a snapshot of the meeting proceedings. The following are highlights from the last Council Meeting.

• Council approved awarding a contract to complete rehabilitation repair work on the MacLeod Park Pedestrian Bridge. Council has directed staff to set aside an additional $2500 for painting of the bridge.
• Council was provided with an update on the Rick MacLeish Memorial Community Centre Early Ice project. Contracts have been awarded for the refrigeration components and Low-E ceiling installation. The Low-E ceiling installation is planned for April-May, followed by the refrigeration equipment installation in August. This project is to support early ice installation for the 2026/2027 season.
• Council has approved the appointed members to the Municipal Election Compliance Audit Committee for the upcoming 2026 Election.
