Chalk Lake Springs temporarily closed during Lake Ridge Road construction

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in co-operation with the City of Pickering, Town of Whitby, and townships of Scugog and Uxbridge, is rehabilitating Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23). The Chalk Lake Springs are temporarily closed during this construction.
When: Access to the springs is expected to reopen towards the end of July once construction is substantially completed in the area of Chalk Lake Road.
Where: Chalk Lake Springs on Lake Ridge Road in the Township of Uxbridge.

Durham Region wins the OPWA Project of the Year Award for the Micro-home Supportive Housing Project

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region has won the Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) 2022 Project of the Year Award in the Structures, less than $2 million category for the Micro-home Supportive Housing Project.

The Rose Window frame is scheduled to be installed this Thursday June 8th , 2023 at Sunderland Town Hall, Sunderland.
