Firework Permits
The sale and discharge of fireworks within the Township of Brock is regulated through the Fireworks By-law. A permit is required prior to selling or discharging fireworks.
Firework Displays
To host a public or at home firework display, a permit is required. Complete the Public Fireworks Display or Consumer Fireworks Display application and be sure to review all applicable regulations.

Firework Sales
A license is required to sell fireworks within the Township of Brock. Complete the Consumer Firework Sales License application form.

Both mobile and store locations are required to have a Fire Safety Plan for the building or property where the mobile stand is located. Applications cannot be submitted without including the Fire Safety Plan.
What to include in your Fire Safety Plan |
1. Emergency procedures to be following in case of a fire including; how to sound the fire alarm, notifying fire department, instructions occupants must following during a fire, procedures for evacuating occupants (include special provisions for those requiring assistance), procedures for elevator use, procedures for confining and controlling the fire. 2. Provide the appointment of supervisory staff required to carry out fire safety duties. 3. Provide the training of supervisory staff and the instruction of other occupants in their responsibilities for fire safety. 4. Include documents and diagrams showing the type, location and operation of the building fire emergency systems. 5. Provide for the holding of fire drills and set out fire drill procedures. 6. Provide for the control of fire hazards in the building. 7. Provide for the maintenance of building facilities provided for the safety of occupants. 8. Provide for alternative measures to be provided for the safety of occupants during a shutdown of any or all fire protection equipment or systems.
The fire safety plan shall be kept in the building or premises in an approved location and shall be reviewed as often as necessary, but at least every 12 months, and shall be revised as necessary so that it takes into account changes in the use or other characteristics of the building or premises.

Application Process
Apply for your sales license or display permit in advance to allow time for processing and inspection. Late applications may not be processed in time.
Once your application has been received and reviewed, a member of the Fire Department will contact you to arrange an in-person inspection.
