Community Organizations and Non-Profits provide invaluable services and recreational opportunities to residents and visitors in the Township of Brock. This page outlines the various supports  available for these groups from the municipality.

How can we request support from the municipality?

The municipal Support for Community Organizations Policy provides the requirements, procedures and available supports for community organizations and non-profits in our community. Please review the policy and follow the steps outlined in the document when requesting support.  Your written request must be submitted to clerks@brock.ca and accompanied by the Special Event Application Form.

What supports are available ?

The Support for Community Organizations Policy indicates three area of support.

  1. Physical Support

All requests for support are subject to the Support for Community Organizations Policy.

 Financial Support

Community Organizations and Non-Profits may request financial support in two forms:

  • Partial Refunds for the cost to rent a municipal facility
  • Apply for funds raised at the Annual Township of Brock Charity Golf Tournament

Non Profit Sector Advisory Committee

The Non-Profit Sector Advisory Committee (NPSAC) consists of members of the public and Council who are responsible for providing advice and recommendations to Council about the status of non-profit organizations in the community. If would like more information on the committee, please contact clerks@brock.ca

National Non-Profit Day

August 17, 2024 was proclaimed National Non-Profit Day and a flag raising was held as a way to recognize and honour the work by non-profits in our community.

Hosting an Event?

The numerous and wonderful events hosted by Community Organizations and Non-Profit Groups attract visitors and engage residents throughout the year. Below are some considerations for groups when planning an event.  Please use the Special Event Application Form to assist in your event planning.  This checklist includes all of the information listed below in one document. By completing and submitting the form to the municipality, staff can review all aspects of your event and let you know if any additional information is required.
