Brock Firefighter Awarded the Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery

The Township of Brock is proud to recognize Captain Jesse Beaudrow, for his incredible courage in risking his life to save others.

Jesse was recently awarded the Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery, the province’s highest honour for his heroism.

 In 2023 while off duty, Officer Beaudrow encountered a fiery head-on collision, and with quick thinking, used a fire extinguisher to slow the intense flames and rescue two seriously injured occupants from the burning vehicle before it became fully engulfed.

Mayor Walter Schummer and members of Council, along with District Chief Chris Gillespie and Brock Fire Chief Rick Harrison were honoured to mark this incredible act of bravery at today’s Council Meeting.
