Notice of a Public Meeting regarding McHattie Park Design on October 13, 2026

McHattie Park Design Brainstorming Session

The Township of Brock is inviting residents, neighbours, community members and other interested members of the public to participate in a Park Design Brainstorming Meeting for the Proposed McHattie Park in the Marydel Subdivision, located at the end of Foster Hewitt Street, Beaverton, Ontario.

October 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre Auditorium
176 Main Street, Beaverton ON L0K 1A0

During the brainstorming session, participants will have an opportunity to:

• Share ideas about how the park could be used and enjoyed;
• Identify features, amenities and activities that are important to the community;
• Discuss opportunities and priorities for the park;
• Collaborate with Landscape Architect HKLA and Township Staff through sketching, idea boards, surveys, and more.
• Explore ideas for the park’s landscape, play, recreation, gathering and natural areas; and
• Help establish a vision for a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant park.
  

The ideas and feedback received during the session will be reviewed by the project team and used to help guide the development of the park design.

Whether you are a nearby resident, a parent or caregiver, a young person, a senior, a recreational user, a dog walker, a nature enthusiast, or simply someone who wants to see a great public space in the community, your perspective is important to the design process.
