Notice of Construction - Regional Road 15 Beaver River Bridge Replacement in the Township of Brock

What’s happening?
The Regional Municipality of Durham has hired Esposito Bros. Construction Ltd. to replace the bridge over Beaver River on Regional Road 15.

What work is being done?

• Removal of the temporary modular bridge.
• Construction of the new Beaver River Bridge.
• New asphalt and pavement markings.
• Traffic signal modifications.
• Installation of the new guide rail system.
• Landscaping and restoration around the bridge.

When will this happen?

Esposito Bros. will be on site the week of August 10, 2026, to start preparing for the work. The construction is expected to finish by December 2027, depending on weather conditions.

How will traffic be affected?

• Two lanes of traffic, one in each direction, will be maintained on Regional Road 15 throughout the project, except during intermittent overnight road closures.
• During the overnight road closures, traffic will be detoured onto Highway 12, Regional Road 23, Side Road 17 and Concession Road 3.
• Drivers should expect delays and plan for extra time when using Regional Road 15.
• Local traffic and emergency access will be maintained using the detour routes.

Other important information

• The equipment used for construction might make noise and cause ground vibrations. Anyone living or working nearby may notice this.
