Facilities and Rentals | Township of Brock

The Township of Brock offers a variety of facilities available for rentals for events and activities.

To proceed with a rental, you must create an account on our online platform. While bookings are not made directly by customers, an account is required so staff can prepare your rental agreement, as well as allow for online payments.

Insurance Requirements

All facility renters and third parties (i.e. vendors, caterers, performers, etc.) are required to carry liability insurance when using a Township owned or operated facility or community hall. Insurance requirements vary based on the type of rental and activities taking place. All renters must list the Township of Brock as an additional insured with a minimum coverage of two million dollars on their insurance. Renters have two options when providing liability insurance to the Township of Brock.

Option 1: Provide Certificate of Insurance

A liability insurance policy may be purchased from any insurance provider of the renter's choice. A certificate of insurance coverage, naming the Township of Brock as additional insured, must be completed by the insurance broker and submitted to the Township of Brock for proof of coverage.

Option 2: Purchase Liability Insurance

Renters may choose to have liability insurance added to their rental agreement which is provided through BFL Canada. Renters should indicate in their rental request if they wish to have insurance added to their rental agreement. Rates are dependent on the nature of the rental, the number of people involved and the length of the rental. Please include all of these details in your request for a rental.

Events with Alcohol

Alcohol is permitted during rentals at specific Township of Brock facilities. All rentals involving alcohol must comply with the Municipal Alcohol Policy. To ensure compliance with regulations, the following documentation must be provided a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the date of the event to the Township of Brock. Contact Name must be the same on all documentation.

Certificate of Insurance:

A Certificate of Liability Insurance with the Township of Brock named as an additional insured, with coverage of no less than $2,000,000. The name on the certificate must match the name on the rental agreement.

Special Occasion Permit:

You are required to obtain your own Special Occasion Permit through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Special Occasion Permit Information. The name on the Special Occasion Permit must match the name on the rental agreement

Event Workers:

A list of event workers, including each worker's active Smart Serve registration number. Please note that the AGCO has implemented a new 5-year Smart Serve recertification requirement, effective July 1, 2022. If you hold a certificate issued prior to July 1, 2018, it will expire on June 30, 2023.

All documentation must be printed and available onsite to be reviewed upon request by the staff on duty.

Halls and Auditoriums

Are you hosting a community dance, concert, recital, banquet or wedding? Consider renting one of the community halls or arena auditoriums available in the Township of Brock.

Beaverton Town Hall

The Beaverton Town Hall is located at 397 Simcoe St. in Beaverton. This venue is perfect for musicals, comedies and stage performances in the upper auditorium.

The Beaverton Ball Park is located at 45 Simcoe Street next to the Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre.

The Clair Hardy Baseball fields are located at 105 Elliot Street next to the Rick MacLeish Memorial Community Centre in Cannington.

The Sunderland Baseball Diamonds are located at 20 Park Street next to the  Sunderland Park.

Brock Soccer Fields

There are  soccer fields available at the Port Bolster Park and Brock Soccer Park . If you are looking to rent a field for a game or tournament, contact Brock Soccer Club.
