Council Highlights June 15, 2026

Council Highlights offer a summary of crucial decisions or agenda items discussed in Council meetings, aiming to give residents a snapshot of the meeting proceedings. The following are highlights from the last Council Meeting.

Council has directed staff to pause future work outlined in the Sidewalk Master Plan and to review long-term operating costs, asset management implications and impacts on the existing infrastructure and community landscapes. All planned work for 2026 is complete. The review and recommendations will be presented the next term of Council. 

Council has directed staff to proceed with the Beaverton Dog Park this year, funding the short fall from the Tax rate Stabilization reserve. 

Council has directed staff to proceed with the creation and installation of new park signs for MacLeod Park, Cannington and Thorah Centennial Park, Beaverton. The previous Beaverton Harbour sign with the Smallmouth Bass designation will be installed at the top of the hill at Harbour Park Crescent.
