Council Highlights May 25, 2026

Council Highlights offer a summary of crucial decisions or agenda items discussed in Council meetings, aiming to give residents a snapshot of the meeting proceedings. The following are highlights from the last Council Meeting.

The Statutory Public Meeting regarding the applications for a zoning by-law amendment, draft plan of subdivision and draft plan of condominium proposed to support a residential development at 507 Sarah Street in Beaverton was held. Council was presented with a delegation from the Invasive Species Group regarding  the Water Soldier Infestation in Lake Simcoe.  

Council authorized staff to enter into an agreement with LiveBarn for installation of the streaming service at all three arenas in Brock . LiveBarn allows live streaming of events through a subscription platform allowing coaches, family members, scouts, teams and anyone interested in the event to access the game, practice, etc. on a phone, tablet, computer or TV. Revenue generated from this agreement will be placed in reserve for future arena projects
