July 27, 2026 Council Highlights

Council Highlights offer a summary of crucial decisions or agenda items discussed in Council meetings, aiming to give residents a snapshot of the meeting proceedings. The following are highlights from the July 27, 2026 Council Meeting. 

• Council approved a report on Traffic Calming. Signage and traffic calming measures will be installed at various locations throughout the municipality.
• Council formally endorsed the MacLeod Park Concept plan, timelines and recommendations. The full plan is available for review on the Parks page of the Township website. 
• The Beaverton Harbour Washroom Tender has been awarded to Al Langman Construction Inc. Work is scheduled to be completed on the new year-round washroom facility by year end.
• A report on Fire Department Personnel was received by Council. The next round of recruitment is anticipated to commence in the fall.
