Charitable Organization Rebate

If you run a charitable organization at a property which is in the Commercial/Industrial Tax Class, you may be eligible for a 40% tax reduction through the charitable organization tax rebate.

Application

To apply for the charitable organization rebate, please complete the Charity Tax Rebate Application and submit it by email or drop it off to the Municipal Offices, located at:

Cannington, ON L0E 1E0

You must apply annually for this rebate. Applications are due by February 28 for the previous tax year.

Eligibility

Eligible charities are defined in section 248 (1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada). You must have a registration number issued by the Canada Revenue Agency.
