Dog Licences

You can also purchase a dog licence at any of the following locations:

• Township of Brock Municipal Office located in Cannington at 1 Cameron St. E.
• Davis Hardware located in Beaverton at 324 Simcoe St.
• A5 Pet Depot located in Beaverton at 443 Mara Rd.
• Pilgrim's Home Hardware located in Sunderland at 92 River St.
• Dench Animal Shelter in Cannington at 99 Elliott St.

Fees

The following fees apply for 2026:

• $27.00 - Dog Tag, Spayed or Castrated
• $32.00 - Dog Tag, Any other dog (intact)
• $150.00 - *Lifetime Dog Tag, Spayed or Castrated 
• $200.00 - *Lifetime Dog Tag, Any other dog (intact) 
• $75.00 - Dangerous Dog Tag
• $2.00 - Replacement Dog Tag (not available for online purchase)

*A microchip is required for lifetime tags - Please ensure microchip number is provided before sale of tag

Licensing Requirements

Once you buy a dog licence, we will give you a dog tag. Place the dog tag on your dog's collar. If your dog doesn't have a visible dog tag, it will be difficult to get your dog back to you and you may receive a municipal fine.

To get a dog licence, you need to provide the Township with proof from your vet that your dog:

• Has up-to-date rabies vaccines 
• Is neutered or spayed (to determine the cost of the licence)
