Mayor and Council

The Council for the Township of Brock consists of the Mayor, a Regional Councillor and five ward councillors. Elections are held every four years.

Mike Jubb is serving his first term as Regional Councillor. Previously, he served one term as Ward 1 Councillor.

About Mike Jubb

A lifetime volunteer, he is involved with numerous volunteer organizations, boards and committees, in all three communities, throughout the Township of Brock. Michael has also been a member of the Beaverton-Thorah Medical Centre Board, the Brock Tourism Advisory Committee and Brock Fire Department. He has received many awards and commendations including the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for dedicated community services. He is happily married with two young boys.

About Peter Frank

Peter has resided in Beaverton for over 30 years. He has been happily married for over 40 years, with two grown children

and two wonderful grandchildren. He and his spouse spend their time running their small business in Beaverton. Peter is a past member of the Kinsman Club, as well a volunteer firefighter and Adjunct Instructor for the Ontario Fire College for 15 years retiring as a Captain.

Peter looks forward to working with more organizations as Ward 1 Councillor.

Claire is a registered Dietician, mother of two beautiful children and an entrepreneur. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Brock Youth Centre and is an active member of the community.

About Angela Canavan

Angela is a proud resident of Cannington.  She is a strong advocate for community engagement and volunteerism and currently sits on the Cannington Haunted Attraction and Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival planning committees.

Angela has previously served on a number of Committees as a resident, including the Brock Non-Profit Sector Review Committee, Brock Tourism Advisory Committee, and the Brock Economic and Development Advisory Committee

About Cria Pettingill

Cria chairs the Operations and Climate committees of Council and represents Brock Township on the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority and the Kawartha Lakes Conservation Authority. Cria has been an active member of the Non-Profit Review Committee, the Harbour Review Committee, the Brock Environmental Advisory Committee and Brock Library's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. As Ward 4 Councillor, Cria also serves on the Wilfrid Hall and Port Bolster Hall boards. 

Cria has previously served on the Committee of Adjustment, the Durham Environmental Advisory Committee, the Brock Youth Committee, The Brock Physical Fitness Committee, and as Chair of the Brock Economic Development Advisory Committee.

Cria was a founding member of the Brock Board of Trade and has worked with constituents to form the Ward 4 Lakeshore Ratepayers Association and a community choir. Cria also sits on the executive committee of the Cannington Horticultural Society.

A proud resident of Sunderland, Lynn is a freelance writer and a sales representative for her husband, artist Walter Campbell.
