Emergency Management Plan

The Township of Brock's Emergency Management Plan, outlines the roles and responsibilities of Council and staff in the event that the Mayor calls a state of emergency. The  Ethel Park Emergency Plan outlines the plan for this Beaverton subdivision.

Summary

The Emergency Management Plan contains information for the municipality to follow in the case of an emergency. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Declaring and terminating an emergency

  • Chain of command
  • Emergency site set-up
  • Evacuation plans
  • Communication
  • Requesting volunteers
  • Departmental roles and responsibilities

Past Emergencies

This plan has been used during three declared emergencies:

  • 2025 Ice Storm
  • COVID-19 pandemic
  • August 2003 Power Blackout
  • Gamebridge train derailment
