Transportation and Transit

The Township of Brock is connected to the Greater Toronto Area through a variety of public transit options. You can also try carpooling as a way to help reduce pollution and traffic on our roads.

DRT Route 618

Starting may 5, 2025, New Route 618 operates between Port Perry and Beaverton via Sunderland and Cannington, replacing On Demand service.  

• Service operates Monday to Friday from 06:00 and 19:00 and run about every 90 minutes.  
• On Demand service will continue to operate during the hours when Route 618 is not running.

On Demand

On Demand offers transit service in areas where access to scheduled service is not available due to low ridership.

*Please not On Demand service will continue to operate during the hours when Route 618 is not running.

Trips are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

There are three ways to book trips: 

1. Phone: Contact a booking agent by phone at 1-866-247-0055.
2.  Through the DRT On Demand Web Portal. The portal features the same functions as the smartphone app allowing you to register, plan trips and book rides. 

3. Customers can also book their trips using the Transit App and the DRT On Demand app. Download the apps from Google Play store or Apple store.

Booking requests can be made up to seven days in advance of the trip.

Booking agents require the following information from the customer when booking a trip:

• Date of trip.
• Location and time of pick-up and drop-off.
• Number of other people travelling, such as a support person or companion(s).
• Any mobility devices that will be brought onto the vehicle.

On Demand - Rural Area

Expanded to all rural areas within Durham Region (outside of the urban boundary).

Customers can travel:

• Curb to curb, curb to stop, or stop to stop.
• To connecting DRT and GO Transit scheduled service.

Booking a trip

• Book your trip on the mobile application or by calling 1-866-247-0055
• Customers can book their trip the same day they wish to travel
• On Demand service will continue to operate during the hours when Route 618 is not running.

On Demand trips can be booked beginning at midnight the day before the planned trip.
